Day 7 - Sketch-A-Thon

For the 7th day at My Sketch World I was inspired to turn the 12" into an ATC. I had to skip the title, but it's on the picture more or less.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a good weekend!

Day 11 - Sketch-A-Thon

Another masculine card with my favorite papers ..... No, I will not mention the name again .....

I needed some kind of ribbon according to the sketch, so I found that saying on the border of the first page of the paper pad, smart?

So that leaves 3 more to go!

I just hope Graphics45 never goes out of business.

Day 14 - Sketch-A-Thon

A layout about something or someone I love. Well, I love tulips!

In a manner I hadn't practiced for a long time: CAS

No, this is not the tulip. It's a flower I just made today. It is canvas, cut, stamped, then crumpled so the back comes off. This way it looks quite distressed.

This is my creation, I still have 4 more to go!

Day 19 - Sketch-A-Thon

Well, I admit I got carried away just a tad. This is my creation for the sketch challenge on day 19 at My Sketch World.

I don't really feel good about it, it too much differs from the sketch.

I used some very old paper from K&Company, the MS *Around the corner* punch, some lace and a few large brads.

City Crafter Challenge Blog Week #45 *Nothing to it!*

Nothing, absolutely nothing allowed on the creations during this weeks challenge at CCCB.

No ribbon, no flower, no buttons, no lace ......

I embossed the images with Powder puffs, stamped with an SU stamp and just layered with Spellbinders labels. The border punch is Martha Stewart. Nothing to it ;)

Day 20 - Sketch-A-Thon

Yesterday was our last day for the 5th Anniversary of My Sketch World. We all had and still have a great time. Check it out  here! It is still time until March,3rd,2011 to finish and post any of the 20 projects.

This is my creation for the last day:

The BG paper is SU, the alpha dies one of my favorites: Totally Tall by Bosskut and also that Vintage Alphabet from Tim Holtz, the ticket stamps are Autumn leaves.

Haven't seen much of Cookie lately, have you?

Day 18 - Sketch-A-Thon

Something from the *older* days.....

The little tags just kind of hang loose! ... like I did at that age ;)

Day 17 - Sketch-A-Thon

Time to start with the Easter cards. This is my take on todays sketch. I just bought that felt border today, isn't it neat?

There are only 3 more days of the 5th Anniversary at My Sketch World. Come on over and participate, you have time until March,3rd to finish any of the 20 projects!

Day 16 - Sketch-A-Thon

I goofed on that challenge just a tiny little tad.

I did not create a layout, but a card. I turned the sketch upside down. I didn't use any flowers and I completely skipped the title.

Sorry Lucy,
I didn't ruin your sketch, I just had to alter it a bit for my card.

All stamps are Inkadinkado, the sentiment is a German make, the paper is Bo Bunny,

Thanks for stopping by!

Colour Challenge #44 at the City Crafters Challenge Blog

Not so easy ....

I created another ATC today for the challenge at CCCB. Not really my colours, but the image seems to fit!

Day 15 - Sketch-A-Thon

For the sketch on day 15 I created an ATC. The beautiful image is from Christy Tomlinson, one of the greatest artist in the Mixed Media World.

The background is Tattered Angels *Coffee Shop*, I just added just pearls as I didn't want to disturb the beautiful image!

Day 9 - Sketch-A-Thon

I guess you have realized that I don't do the sketches in order. I design my Layouts and cards and also the ATC's depending on the mood I'm in and the mojo available :)

This is a typical *MAJO*, as I was almost finished with it when I read the rules that came with this challenge: "Create a layout with a specific theme like B-days, Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving, 4th of July, International holiday, etc...!"

Well, I quickly invented the (national) day of the flower (Aster in this case) and celebrated it :)

This is my creation

The journaling is hidden underneath the picture and tells the story of this page.

Thanks for stopping by!

Day 12 - Sketch-A-Thon

Yesterdays card was not really my style, maybe I was still under the influence of the anesthesia. Anyway, today I created another card which I enjoyed designing a lot more ;)

I do love that sticky canvas, it takes some time to distress it, but it's worth any minute.

The beautiful pin is again from my blog buddy June Lanum!

An invitation for a friend

Sometimes I just need cards like this one ...

The flowers are handmade. The words are computer generated!

Thanks for stopping by and have a nice weekend!

Sketch #10 at the MSW

Day #10 is a card sketch at My Sketch World and this is my creation

I flipped the sketch AND added some cross stitches (They ones who know me just feel with me, I know!) The little tag says: "Herzlichen Glückwunsch - Congratulations!"

Come on over and join the fun, it'll last until February 20th with a new sketch every single day!

Colour Challenge #67 at the Pay Date Café

This time I will have a LO as an entry at the Play Date Café:

The DP is an older one from Around the block. The letters are cut with Vintage Alphabet by Tim Holtz, the gorgeous snowflakes are from my dear friend Elaine, (Smoochies for you Sweets!)

Thanks for stopping by and a cozy evening to all of you!
I'll be back tomorrow with a secret/surprise! So make sure you come back!

Sketch #8 at the MSW

I found this beautiful ad in the mail recently and cut out some small rectangles for my ATC.

Just a little card to sneak into someones breast pocket ;)

This was meant to be a sketch for a card at MSW.
Well, sometimes the smaller the better ;)

Sketch #6 at the MSW

I have just decided to leave the ironing to someone else (Anybody out there?) and work on my sketches instead. The sun is shining, so the light is excellent and most important of all: "I am in the mood!"

This is my creation for sketch #6 at MSW

I had bought that flowery black/white design foil quite a while ago and didn't really know what to do with it. Now I just applied it to cardstock, cut it in stripes and thus met the challenge :)

Sketch #4 at the MSW

I'm running a little behind, but this sketch was a MUST as my neighbor has his birthday next week and he is an absloute freak for cars.

I liked the masculine colours and of course my favorite paper ..... shhh
The embossing folder is one that came in a set from Cuttlebug "Measurements".

The sentiment says: "Congratulations"

Sketch #5 at the MSW

PEEK-A-BOO .....

Now who could be the Mischief Maker?

This is my creation and I must say I had this picture in my mind the minute I saw the sketch. I substituted the second picture with my journaling.

The green DP is Stampin'Up, the stamp Hero Arts, the Title I cut with cartridge *Lyrical Letters* from Cricut.

Just in case you didn't find her either :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Sketch #1 at the MSW

What a beautiful sketch this is, I had a ball working with it. I used the *Ooh La la Playful Paper* from My Mind's Eye as DP. The title is cut with Bosskut Totally Tall, a set I would NEVER sell!

The flower is handmade with crepe and Glimmer mist, the little bow beneath Emmas picture is made with tulle.

The stamps are Tim Holtz, the lace is from my stash.

This is what the journaling says:

Emmas Birthday ….  or any other day in
December 2010!
She was  the “Queen of one day” when she got
her genuine sheep.
DH bought it seconds before closing time
at the Swedish Store on his way back from a business trip,
which also makes it a special!

Sometimes Cookie is also allowed to use it …. sometimes!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend you all!

Sketch #2 at the MSW

I *glimmer misted* the background with Tattered Angels "Water Slide" and "Sunshine".

The pennants are from Jenni Bowlin, the stamp is an SU stamp, which had just arrived in the mail a few hours ago.
I embossed the orange paper, which was a mistake, but I had already put my linen
thread through both layers, so I couldn't change that anymore.

Thanks for looking!
